Smart Touchsm – Our program for Healthier Choices
Looking for healthy snack choices? Look no further than Cincinnati Vending Company’s Smart Touchsm Program. Smart Touchsm provides specially marked columns in your snack machine that highlight healthy choices. Using the Snackwisesm Nutritional Rating System, snacks are categorized as:GREEN – Healthiest snacks, choose freely YELLOW - Healthier, choose occasionallyTo assure consistency, a selected number of snack machine columns are permanently marked to call attention to the appropriate category. Signs on the vending machine inform customers of the nutritional category. Selections are rotated to maintain customer interest. Traditional snacks reside in unmarked columns. About Snackwisesm Snackwisesm is a service mark of the Borden Center/Columbus Children’s Hospital. Snackwisesm is computer software that evaluates a snack food’s nutritional quality for ten parameters; total calories, total fat, saturated fat, sugar, protein, fiber, calcium, iron, and vitamins A and C for any healthy consumer over the age of five. The snack food is then assigned a point value which is then translated into an easy to follow, highly recognizable color coding:
